Project

The project will be focused on the Virtual Reality as educational tool for non-formal education of young people.

Long-term aims of the project

  • increasing awareness about use of virtual reality as educational tool for youth education
  • improving the quality and efficiency of youth education by using new technologies as virtual reality
  • increasing young people’s interest in informal learning and their motivation to learn via using modern and attractive educational tools as virtual reality
  • modernizing and increasing the use of new technologies in youth education through in the use of virtual reality.

Operational objectives

  • promotion of VR as educational tool for youth education in the partners countries
  • implementation of the elements of VR to the educational offer for youth among partner institutions
  • increasing knowledge and competences of youth workers from partners institution about VR as educational tool
  • transfer of knowledge between less and more experienced institutions in the field of VR in youth education
  • establishing permanent cooperation between project partners in order to implement VR in youth education.

Results

Results of the project

  • development of an international set of case studies about VR in youth education based on experiences of partners countries
  • organization of the short joint staff training for the project partners focused on VR as educational tool
  • organizing  cascading workshops for youth educators in partner countries conducted by the staff trained in the JST
  • organizing  educational activities under framework of non-formal education for young people with using VR
  • organizing promotion seminar on VR as educational tool (1 per country)
  • creation of the website promoting VR in youth education

Association was established in December 2013 in Łódź. Among others, the aim of the Association is:

  • Information, education, mobilization and integration of people
  • Supporting of innovative teaching methods for youth and adults
  • Enhancing self-esteem and showing possibilities of personal development
  • Conducting educational and cultural activities
  • Promotion of active and healthy lifestyle, mobilization of sports, recreation and rehabilitation
  • Intergenerational integration.

Implemented activities are also aimed at people socially excluded and disadvantaged (eg. due to disability, age, financial situation, etc.). The main activity is education and non-formal adult learning in the form of trainings, courses, workshops.Association done a number of assessments, reviews and expert opinions regarding, among others, CSR, employee volunteering, entrepreneurship, NGO sector. In 2015 we conducted research concerning „The motivation of volunteers” and „Areas of volunteer work”.
